Blyton Park is a former Royal Air Force airfield located just outside of Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Built in 1942, the airfield was used heavily during the Second World War but was used less after the early stages of the cold war. Blyton has been in existence for a long time, but has recently undergone new management and complete re-surfacing too. During early 2011, 1.5 miles of tarmac was laid featuring plenty of corners. The new circuit designs tries to ensure there is as few solid barriers and plenty and as much tarmac run-off as possible. The new high grip surface that the new owners put in place has excellent run-off and is ideal for any level of driver. In May 2011 Blyton Park Driving Centre opened for business for activities such as driver tuition and Supercar driving experiences. The new looking circuit attracted Supercar manufacturers such as Pagani and Mclaren to use the ground for testing. It is clear to see a lot of work has been put into this track and it’s a very popular track to drive on. Blyton Park, Old Blyton Airfield, Kirton Road, Blyton, Gainsborough, DN21 3PE

Castle Combe started off in 1941 as an airfield, home to RAF Castle Combe for 7 years before being decommissioned in 1948. The venue then re-opened as Castle Combe Circuit in 1950 just 18 months after the world famous Silverstone Circuit. The circuit was based on the perimeter of the old airfield and remained unchanged from the day it opened up until 1998 when two chicanes were added to the track for safety reasons. In 1997, prior to the changes to the track, a lap record was set by Nigel Greensall in his Tyrrell 022 – lapping the circuit at 130.93mph. Castle Combe have hosted a wide variety of different motorsport events over the years, with Formula 3 returning to the venue in 2001. However, this was to be short lived as a noise nuisance order was issued in 2005 meaning the venue had to reduce its noise level. With the British Formula 3 Championship and the British GT Championship exceeding these new limitations, it resulted in these events no longer being held at Castle Combe. Today, Castle Combe Circuit still host many different motorsport events ranging from championship racing to Classic car shows. Built by the Canadian Army, and commanded by the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1942-1944 the aerodrome was used for military use. After the war, Dunsfold became one of the largest aerodromes for production and testing of planes including York, Lancastrian, Skymaster and Dove. British Aerospace (the then owners of Dunsfold) announced the closure of the aerodrome for restructuring in June 1999. In 2002, British Aerospaces’ successors (BAE Systems) sold Dunsfold to The Rutland Group, who created Dunsfold Park Ltd. Since then, the venue has been used to film scenes from “Come Fly With Me”, “Casino Royale”, “Red 2” and “London Has Fallen”. The track has also, most famously, been used as the site of Top Gear, the runway is now a test track. The layout of the circuit was designed by Lotus test drivers and is marked on the run way using painted lines and structures such as tyre tracks. There are 2 layouts of the circuit. The figure 8 is used for the filming of Top Gear, however we run on the outer circuit. This layout is designed to give a mix of low and high speed corners plus a range of straights to allow you to enjoy a top of the range Supercar experience.
